Sequels and a Disney classic

Had one of those days when you feel like you deserve a break? So you go out to the cinema to kick back and relax. Unfortunately you’re a kung fu, animation or fantasy film buff but you have to make do with DC and Marvel flicks. None of which you like. It pays to take note of what the major movie producers plan to unroll in 2016 and beyond so that you can mark your calendar and time your day off on the release date.

This year and beyond, much awaited sequels and spinoffs to popular movies are in the offering.

Here are the top most talked about films and the reasons why you should watch them:

1. Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them Fans felt that it was the end of an era when the Harry Potter series ended, but J. K. Rowling had something else in store when she decided to make a film out of the Potter prequel novel of the same name. Directed by David Yates, the first installment of the trilogy begins its story 70 years before Harry Potter was born and will star Eddie Redmayne as the wizard Newt Scamander, who will eventually author the textbook Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. The film also features Colin Farrell and Jon Voight. The film is scheduled for release worldwide on November 18 this year. Watching magical beasts come alive in 3D and IMAX 4K Laser should be a treat.
