1. Commit to let go
Make the decision that you are letting go, and accept that you have a choice to do so. Be firm about it. This is to stop you from reliving the past pain.
2. Acknowledge the pain and express it
Accept that a painful situation happened. Do not bury your hurt but instead express it by saying it to the person who caused you pain or vent it to someone you trust, write about your feelings in a journal or create a blog about it. This will help you become psychologically and emotionally stable.
