The National University Bulldogs of Jhocson St. battles the University of the East Red Warriors of Recto. NU now bannered by JJ Alejandro, Alfred Aroga, Rev Diputado and Mohammed Salim will lead of the squad which includes 6 rookies test the mettle of the Derrick Pumaren lead by Paul Varilla and their blue collar crew who might be another waiting surprise for this year’s campaign.

Will the young guns of Eric Altamirano rise up to the occasion or will the steady and hard working veterans of the UE Red Warriors prove that they are for real and a force to reckon with?

Players to watch out for:
NU – Matthew Aquino, JV Gallego and Joshua Sinclair

Unfinished business

The Far Eastern University Tamaraws opens its title retention bid against the heavily favored De La Salle Green Archers which puts to completion an unfinished business due to an interrupted tune up game between the two title contenders last August 4, 2016 marred by too much physicality among players and tensions among the coaches.

Ben Mbala will make his much anticipated long overdue UAAP debut together with Jeron Teng who will try to put a fitting ending to his collegiate career in his hopes to lead the Green Archers to the promise land this season.
